DUNWOODY, Ga. — Dunwoody residents are invited to a ceremonial tree planting 10 a.m. Feb. 16 at Windwood Hole Park to have fun Georgia Arbor Day. 

Volunteers plant native timber at Brook Run Park Jan. 15 throughout Dunwoody’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. The Arbor Day Basis acknowledged the town as a Tree Metropolis USA for the twelfth 12 months in a row.


The celebration follows an announcement from the Arbor Day Basis Feb. 1 recognizing Dunwoody as a Tree Metropolis USA for the twelfth 12 months in a row. 

“Tree Metropolis USA communities see the optimistic results of an city forest firsthand,” Arbor Day Basis CEO Dan Lambe stated. “The timber being planted and cared for by Dunwoody are making certain that generations to return will take pleasure in a greater high quality of life.”

The Tree Metropolis USA program can also be in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and the Nationwide Affiliation of State Foresters.
