On Point with Juandolyn Stokes welcomed Martin Luther King Jr. Sunday Chairperson, Carla Morrison who invited listeners to attend the Historic Big Bethel AME Church’s Martin Luther King Jr. Sunday 10 am service on January 14, 2024, at 220 Auburn Avenue.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani T. Willis will be the guest speaker.
Willis is the first woman to serve as District Attorney in the state’s largest county. She leads an office of almost 400 public servants, including almost 15 prosecutors and 90 sworn criminal investigators.
“It Starts with Me Shifting the Cultural Climate Through the Study and Practice of Kingian Nonviolence” is the national theme of the King Center for Nonviolent Social Change during this year’s celebration.
“We are honored to have Ms. Willis as our guest speaker,” said Morrison.
Big Bethel AME has been in existence for 176 years! It is home to the state’s oldest organ and home to 100 years of living history.
