Epcon set to open sales at two 55-plus communities

Age-restricted homebuilder Epcon Communities is set to begin selling homes at two Atlanta-area communities: The Courtyards of Franklin Goldmine in Cumming and The Courtyards at Bailey Farms in Dacula.

The Courtyards at Bailey Farm, located in North Gwinnett County, will offer 128 single-story homes, while Franklin Goldmine in Forsyth County — Ohio-based Epcon’s first in the Atlanta area — will offer 27 single-level homes.

Bailey Farms homes will range from 1,500 to 4,000 square feet, with community amenities like a clubhouse, pool, pickleball courts, dog park, fire pit, lake with dock and walking trail. Franklin Goldmine homes will offer three floor plans ranging from 2,500 to 4,000 square feet. Community amenities will include an outdoor pavilion with fireplace, dog park, pickleball court, bocce court and cornhole.

“The Courtyards of Franklin Goldmine will fill a need in the market with Epcon’s unique and proven home designs, along with the low-maintenance, lock-and-leave lifestyle that Epcon has been building around the country for over 35 years,” said Ted Turner, regional president for Epcon in Atlanta.

Epcon will start accepting home-site reservations for both 55-plus communities in mid-September. A third Atlanta-area Epcon community, The Courtyards at Redbud Lane in Cherokee County, will begin accepting reservations in October.
