Early Wednesday morning, January 31, 2024, Marion Sharp entered into the presence of her beloved Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who by way of His valuable blood, steadfast love, and infinite grace saved her from her sins and gave her the fantastic present of everlasting life.

Marion was born in Alexandria, Louisiana, in 1933, to her expensive dad and mom, James F. Callaham, Sr. and Jessie Callaham. She was blessed to have a faithful older brother, James F. Callaham, Jr. Throughout her childhood, the household lived in Georgia, Kentucky, Florida, and South Carolina. Marion graduated from Murphy Excessive Faculty in Atlanta and attended Agnes Scott Faculty. Her first marriage was to Robert Gallatin Paxton, they usually had been blessed with two youngsters, Susan and Galla.

Her life was characterised by love, dedication, and repair to her Lord Jesus Christ, her household, and to many different individuals whom God introduced into her life. After dwelling a few years in New England, she moved again to Atlanta, the place she has lived for the previous 35 years. All through her life, she has faithfully served in some ways by educating neighborhood girls’s Bible research, working in youngsters’s ministries, serving as a prayer counselor, volunteering with Main the Approach, and ministering to many various people in numerous methods.

She beloved to journey, encourage household and buddies, humbly share her wealthy reservoir of knowledge, love those that had been in want and hurting, and rejoice within the blessings of others. She deeply beloved The Church of the Apostles and God’s individuals, who had been a continuous blessing to her.

She can be affectionately remembered for her love for the Lord, a deep religion, her ministry of prayer, stunning kindness, and for her peaceable and tranquil spirit. Marion was beneficiant, loyal, optimistic and loved utilizing her present of hospitality to bless others. All of this she would attribute to the goodness and style of God.

Marion was predeceased by her dad and mom, her brother, and her second husband, Edgar E. Sharp.

She is survived by her youngsters, Susan (Steve) Hooker of Marietta, GA and Galla (Toni) Paxton, Jr. of Santa Rosa Seaside, FL. Stepchildren: Invoice Sharp, Rebecca (David) Rust, Kenny (Laura) Sharp. Grandchildren: Xan Paxton, Kyle (Olivia) Paxton, Dylan Paxton, and Elisabeth (Chris) Keating, Jimmy Sharp, Josh Sharp, John Rust, Lindsey Rust. Nice-grandchildren: Gallatin and Maryanne Keating, Zion Paxton, Joseph Keating (due late February).

The household desires to specific heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful, compassionate medical care offered to Marion for a few years by Dr. Brenton Black and Dr. Alvaro Velasquez.

A memorial service can be Monday, February 5, 2024, at 1 o’clock, at The Church of The Apostles.
