Water service restored in DeKalb after over 24 hours of repairs – 95.5 WSB

DEKALB COUNTY — DeKalb County Division of Watershed Administration (DWM) officers confirmed the water predominant break on McLendon Drive has been repaired.

DWM mentioned crews restored customer support on McLendon Drive at 3 a.m. Sunday after finishing the repairs.

Crews have been engaged on the water predominant break since Friday morning.

Relying on a buyer’s location, the whole time for restoration of regular strain is as much as 48 hours.

DWM officers added prospects within the affected space might have brown water from their taps. To repair this, officers mentioned prospects can run the taps inside and out of doors their houses and companies to clear their inner plumbing.

The Georgia Environmental Safety Division has reviewed the water high quality knowledge, and the cautionary boil water advisory has been lifted.

The areas affected by the advisory are the world bounded by Scott Boulevard on the north, Avondale Street by way of Outdated Rockbridge Street on the south, Interstate 285 on the east and DeKalb Industrial Means on the west.

DWM added that prospects can decide up bottled water close to the intersection of McLendon Drive and North Avenue whereas beneath the advisory.
