Water service restored in DeKalb after over 24 hours of repairs – WSB-TV Channel 2

DEKALB COUNTY — DeKalb County Division of Watershed Administration officers confirmed that the water primary break on McLendon Drive has been repaired.

DWM advised Channel 2 Motion Information crews restored customer support on McLendon Drive at 3 a.m. Sunday after finishing the repairs.

Crews have been engaged on the water primary break since Friday morning.

DWM officers added that prospects within the affected space could have brown water from their taps. To repair this, officers mentioned prospects can run the taps inside and out of doors their properties and companies to clear their inner plumbing.

Relying on a buyer’s location, the whole time for restoration of regular strain is as much as 48 hours.

The Georgia Environmental Safety Division has reviewed the water high quality information, and the cautionary boil water advisory has been lifted.


The areas affected by the advisory are the world bounded by Scott Boulevard on the north, Avondale Street by means of Outdated Rockbridge Street on the south, Interstate 285 on the east and DeKalb Industrial Manner on the west.

DWM added that prospects can choose up bottled water close to the intersection of McLendon Drive and North Avenue whereas beneath the advisory.
